Holiday Fun in New York

As promised, here are a few pictures from my trip to New York for the holiday party. I have a ton more of New York that  I’ll post at a later time. The place was packed and everyone had a great time, or so it seemed.

Well, I sure as heck don’t see John’s beer cans-

what is with that?

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

questionnaire- still hanging in The Answer thread? :(

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

I was answering all my emails with the tele on- and I heard a familiar voice-

I turned to see- you were on Brit Hume– where are you swimming trunks? You were standing right there on the beach’s ocean? And here comes Wipe Out– The Surfaris style—-

Adam:

I just saw you again-

they throw clothes hangers into the ocean?

I am on vigil— my old dog is dying and my neighbor, Tom, is here with me because I might have to do an emergency vet visit—

She is hacking and not responding too well– so we are here hanging out- watching the tele–

Ah— not a good night- I saw it coming—

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

I am stiil on vigil- I was just watching FOX–

Question here- as from to you-

Do you care what anyone looks like?

Susan……………Bill O’ took all my beer cans because he got upset that I was drinking Molson’s………..He said he hates “Mexican” beers…….You should have seen him ’spinning’ on the dance floor though.

Comment by Jen S

Great pics! And beautiful sights of New York. I’ve never been there…maybe my next husband will take me some day.
Cheers to the Diet Coke Cans. ;)

Very good Max (the great) That’s the meaning of your name-not poking fun. We only do that to John, and a lot to Susan. Have a great day y’all.

Comment by Max

Jen: my full name means ‘the great protector final’ :D

Comment by Avi

Y’all??? LOL TEXAS!

Comment by John

Thanks Jen……….It wasn’t my idea to name me after a portable toilet.

Comment by Max

it’s a southern thang, y’all wouldn’t understand. :D
When i was in south carolina this summer i spent 4 hours on a beach and i was more than than i’d ever been before. It was weird that i only got burnt where i was wearing the most sunscreen! and where i’d not put any i was just tanned, no burn. I think maybe it was a reaction to a chemical in the sun screen, as the only other time i’ve had ‘burn’ was another time i wore sun screen.

Adam, Love the pics, and the theme, you are very fortunate to work for such a caring Network…and they like to have fun too, that is always a plus…

This is in my neck of the woods.

John, I can’t add any fuel to the fire…you summed it up pretty good.

How about this story……….http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,317202,00.html

Felony charges for eating lunch……….no wonder so many of our kids are filled with hate. Stories like this really make me wonder about whether this country is headed in the right direction………

Comment by John

Sorry about that, looks like the cut/paste didn’t work. The story I was refering to was about the 10 year old girl in Ocala FL that was arrested on felony charges for using a steak knife to cut her steak that she brought to school for lunch………..the story is on FoxNews homepage right now.

Comment by Avi

:O wow…… you dont even wanna know about the stories at my middle school back in miami crazy crazy stories they are sorta long lol… i wonder if its still the same after 3-4 years lol

Comment by Patty

Hey Jen…was sitting there thinking of you!
There is a huge “parade” of lineman electrical trucks outside my office….some from Kentucky ;-) We have 21 other states electrical companies in NE KS now.
It aweseome to know “humans” still exist and “care” for one another.

Comment by Max

John: I hope that gets thrown out of court.
There seems some great fear of weapons, rather than the people who use them to harm.
It’s worse here, both guns and knives are illegal to carry around. If you are caught with a gun you automatically spend 5 years in prison. And if you knock someone out while defending yourself you can go down for assault.

America is only at the foundation stages of the problems in Europe, you still have time to change direction.

Pretty Pix, I love the party theme. Or is it? Some parties would have that many cans quickly.

John what a shame, poor kid was hungry. My kids refuse to eat the lunchroom food. It has become nasty.

Comment by Jen S

I think Spudware is more dangerous. Didn’t you see Adam choking on it yesterday.

Patty- Hillbillies have heart. ;) Hope things are up and running soon.
My son got in last night. Must be nice to be 19, he’s just getting out of bed…

Comment by Kathy in Texas

I am just testing something.

Comment by Max

jen: i don’t much like sleeping in late, but without a fixed structure it’s very hard not to. It’s getting easier to control mysleep though as the pain decresses as i can get to sleep easier at night. The problem is that when it gets dark it always seems like time to be stopping school work or what ever, rather than starting it.

Comment by Jen S

Kathy,
Do you want to share? Maybe we can help. ;)

Comment by Max

I hope the reason susan hasn’t been on is that she’s sleeping rather than at the vet.

Jen: where did you find the page with all the different smilies on it?

Comment by Kathy in Texas

trying to post something, they must have a filter on it.

Comment by John

Kathy………any porn posts and/or pictures of Keith Olberman are automatically blocked by Fox…………..by order of Bill O’.

Comment by Avi

ADAM,

Are you going to get ur own Show some day lol…. Adam at Large? LOL soo original i now ;)

Comment by Max

If Adam did get his own show there would be nothing wrong with using the title of this blog ‘housley in the house’

Comment by Patty

I agree with Max….sorry Avi…that “at large” thing just makes me cringe! *L*
I just don’t see Adam with that awful mustache! ;-)
So Adam….what about “your show”?? *BG*

Comment by Kathy in Texas

Oh John I figured that out on the ED thread!

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Hi all–

Adam– you are way too cool— (what is my limit?) Today is going to be an easy day for you–

I am not into annoying you today– as I just got back from the vets- Tomasa is now on the baseball diet- steroids- Prednisone (arthritis- especially in her back) and antibiotics- respiratory infection– :(
I am going to eat some spudware- maybe this will make me feel better- :D

love you all-

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

P.S. Adam– do have your own show- You should write a book too-

Comment by Max

Susan: how is your dog doing?

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Max–

She isn’t hacking away–but the prednisone makes her thirsty- and I don’t like prednisone- it is too hard on the liver— I am more miserable than she is– I can’t stand to see anything suffering-
ahhh- :@

And Max- I just went on your site again and I read about your trip here in the US– Just so you know- we have a Cracker Barrel about four miles from here- I really enjoyed what you wrote-

Your trip made me smile—

Comment by Patty

Susan, I hope tomorrow is a better day for you. Today just doesnt sound good at all :( (((hugs)))

Comment by Patty

Has Tom been back around?
He re-appeared earlier (like a week ago) then I was gone with the ice storm. Just curious.

How are you John? Good I hope!

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Patty–

You all are awesome- I mean this- (((more hugs))))

Comment by Max

Susan: I hope she feels good soon. How old is she?

Could you see the photos i linked to?

Glad you enjoyed my diary, my favorite part of the trip was wandering about the capitol building.
It was actually the first time i’ve been to America, but definately not the last one :)

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Max–

And when you come back to visit the US, don’t forget you have a friend here in AZ– :D
I didn’t get to see all the pictures because I would have to sign in- but if I have to do that, I will-
I don’t mind you having my email address-actually, I would like for you to have my email address and this way we don’t use Adam’s space- and I could send you fun jokes and interesting articles I get from all over the world– and we could exchange pictures-

so do I just go back in there and leave you my email address?– Adam would probably apprecite it-

there are a few people here I wouldn’t mind giving my email address out- so like for birthdays and an upcoming anniversary, I could send cards-

Max–

my honey and best friend is 15 or older- She was left to me by my father before his demise- so I have a spiritual connection to her and this is why it is too hard for me to let go— but it is coming and she will have to go join him- He is waiting for her– :(

Comment by Max

I hope to not have to visit America again. Much rather relocate :D The worst part of the vacation was on the way home. But a guy at O’Hare cheered me up by saying ‘hey were’t you here 2 weeks ago?’ as he remembered serving us.

To send a me a message on there you’d have to sign up. But then you could see all my photos and comment my blog as well.
otherwise i could just put up one of my email addresses on here. One advantage of myspace is that i can check it anywhere, while most of my emails have to be checked from only my pc.

Comment by Max

susan: at least she will have a friend waiting for her. I never cried when any of my grandparents died, mainly because they had been so frail and pained before they went that death was really a release for them. I was buying my lunch when my grandmother died, but when i got back it seemed peaceful, and she had been happy to see my and and my dad. She had actually told all the family to go have lunch. I think she could tell it was almost time.

Max–

I loved your pictures- these were great- I registered- I have no clue as what to do next- but hopefully you will see my email address–

I am going to call it a night-

Tomasa seems to be stronger- she barked– :D
have a good night- and be good!!!

Comment by Max

susan, you have to click to add me or message me. Under my photo and age there’s a box with clouds in it. if you look there you’ll see where too click. I won’t know your email unless you message me it :)

Comment by Patty

Adam, i was watching these pics again…curious… have you ever met Hugh Laurie??

Now that I would love to do!!! He’s so awesome in House. And so opposite in personal interviews, seems to be so “real” and “genuine”. Adores his son and wife, that says alot for a man’s character. Did you know that he flies to England after each week of shooting the show to go home? Talk about jet lag!
I’d have to say, if i could meet him and Elton John………i’d think I was in heaven! *L*

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Since this is the holiday theme and Bill O’ Reilly was mentioned–

and this is my last comment for the night– but I had to find out if anyone watched Bill tonight?

In Great Barrington, MA, the town officials decided not to put up but very few lights in the downtown area- why? Because of global warming- Bill or Fox sent a reporter there to do a story about this– The town officials were very rude to him- and these people would not use the word Christmas- and yes, Holiday was the word—

Because Bill thought the whole thing about the Holiday lights and global warming to be so ludicrous, Bill said, “a cow’s belch would have more impact on the environment..”

I laughed so hard- Patriot Bill- and then as a final thought, Bill said, “We need to send Al Gore there.. He started all of this.”

I hope you enjoy the humor as I did-

buenas noches—

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Max–

I did just that- click on the clouds- to send a message to you and I was sent over where I was told a verification link would be sent to me??

I will give this a shot again tomorrow– I came back on to post my O’Reilly comment—

I am going to bed- Ken’s case manager is coming over in the morning so I have to tidy up the place which means make the beds- I never make the beds- everything else is somewhat clean but beds…. only when certain people come over do I make the beds-

xxxxx

Comment by Max

Susan: have you recieved an email since signing up?
Check the spam if you’re not sure and look for anything from ‘myspace’. They do that to try and stop people signing up fake emails to send spam messages on there.

I always have to make my bed, as it’s a folding bed. I can’t get my clothes unless i fold it up. I’m always very tidy, i think it’s from being ay home so much.

Adam was on redeye. You can still see clips from in if you go to http://www.foxnews.com/redeye and click on ‘Bedtime Boredom’ under ”RED EYE’ ON DEMAND’

That O’Reilly piece is hillarious. They aren’t holiday lights! what other holiday uses them? Only Christmas to my knowlage.

I have watched Hugh Laurie for years, since he was on Blackadder. He is so wonderful, a nice person plus a great actor. Adam he would be one at the top of my list, maybe you can swing an interview in the fox LA bureau?

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Max–

what a funny clip— Adam saved his day by mentioning or clarifying he has a girlfriend—

On another page- I found a funny title to an article on MSN–
My Polygamist Family Christmas—-Holiday memories of 47 siblings, 7 moms, and dodging the Feds–

(I wonder if they had a portable Christmas tree to take with them?)

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

For shame on me- I have never watched one episode in House till the end-

He comes on after Psych and by then I usually fall asleep—

Comment by Max

47 siblings, dang, i don’t even have one. Imagine dinner times!

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Max–

My verification of my email went through and I as still having a tough time leaving you a message- ( I am still not your friend as it states)

will you see if you can find me there?

Will check back later–

Now I am reading- Huckabee’s bookshelf, which looked like a cross, is making a ruckus- why are people such nit pickers?

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

I am so proud of her- I think it would be so cool if she had a job like Adam’s—

Susan: i sent you a friend request and a message on myspace :)
The athiest who was on with Cavuto yesterday was very reasonable. I can’t remember his name, but i always find myself agreeing with him, not theologically, but in the fact that, we shouldn’t use faith politcally, like he said, he wouldn’t vote for an athiest who used his lack of faith as a political tool. I hate when people try and force their views onto other people without explaining their positions.

How long is your daughters thesis?

Comment by Susan- Phx- AZ

Max-

75 pages! And it is excellent- I have 40 minutes to take a shower and give Ken one before his case manager gets here- but I have been reading her layout— (maybe deodorant and some fast throw on the make-up- I need to borrow Debi- the make-up artist)

forget the bed making-

Comment by Max

Good luck with the case manager’s visit. I just realized we’ve not really gone off topic, as this thread is meant to be about Holiday Fun!
go us! :D Over the holiday i will have to be studying for exams starting Jan 9th. So i won’t really be having a break, i’ll relax after the exams :D Maybe i should claim to be orthodox so i can have my vacation then ;)

susan: weren’t they on fox and friends recently? i think they sang the same song.

Comment by Patty

Adam…if you do ever get the chance to meet Hugh ….share the pics will ya? :-) I always wondered how he turned that accent off!! *L*
It is so prominent when he speaks out of character.

Comment by Jen S

Did you know that Hugh is in that movie Stewart Little? He was the husband. I recently heard/read that somewhere…seems out of character compared to House. Ha.

Comment by Max

Jen: House is really what’s out of character, in england he’s know for all his comedy shows. He’s been in so many. http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=ZFD01r6ersw here’s a good one :)

Has anyone ever read any of these books? Message from my daughter–

have you ever read the book “Celestine Prophecy” or the series of books called “Conversations with God.” (book I, II, and III). really good books. I am on book II of the God series. Really good way at looking at religion. Celestine prophecy is a really good book too, i read it like a day, just couldnt put it down.
