(Taken from the author of The Ultimate Gift. A great movie to watch for Christmas.)
*Work: He who loves his work never labors.
*Money: Money is nothing more than a tool. It can be a force of good, a force of evil, or simply be idle.
*Friends: It is a wealthy person, indeed, who calculates riches not in gold but in friends.
*Learning: Education is a lifelong journey whose destination expands as you travel.
*Problems: Problems can only be avoided by exercising good judgment. Good judgment can only be gained by experiencing life’s problems
*Family: Some people are born into wonderful families. Others have to find or create them. Being a member of a family is a priceless privilege which costs nothing but love.
*Laughter: Laughter is a good medicine for the soul. Our world is desperately in need of more such medicine.
*Dreams: Faith is all that dreamers need to see the future.
*Giving: The only way you can truly get more out of life for yourself is to give part of yourself away.
*Gratitude: In those times when we yearn to have more in our lives we should dwell on the things we already have. In doing so, we will often find that our lives are already full to overflowing.
*A Day: Life at its essence boils down to one day at a time. Today is the day!
*Love: Love is a treasure for which we can never pay. The only way to keep it is to give it away.
Green Valley shot- second picture and Mt. Diablo are my favorite—
Jen– another beautiful poem– you have talked me into watching the movie- is it DVD?
(I have used up my quota for posting- I put myself on a quota diet– Merry Christmas to all)
Susan-
Yes, the movie is out on DVD. I watched it on On Demand TV, where my cable offers movies to buy, maybe you have the same type of thing.
I’m closing shop here……..gotta go watch for Santa.

THANK YOU ADAM!
I wasn’t going to do it, but I participated in the Greta Blog-a-thon. One post. Glads that’s over! HA.
OK Santa’s on the roof, gotta get to bed. Merry Christmas!
Jen–
that is a cool Xmas card– you should have jumped on it first since you posted the picture— darn it– but your Christmas poem is the best—
I hope everyone is having a nice Christmas– we didn’t get home until after 3:00 am– and no, no Holiday beverages– it was just nice to see a family which are so loosely connected throughout the year, together for once— Although, this is not my family, it gives me great pleasure to see Ken and his family together- as this rarely happens—
Today we are having an hispanic Christmas dinner- my very dear friends down the street invited us over for pozole, tamales, and so on—
Have a very beautiful day– to all of you—
