Picture of the Day

One of my hobby’s in recent years has been digital pictures. I have always loved photos, especially old ones, but since 2002 it’s all about digital. From now on, I am going to post a picture of the day which you can all comment on and pass along your feedback.

This one is one of my favorites, so where do you think it came from? Where did I snap this one and when? I will give the story behind this photo tomorrow.

I would guess India or Africa. Love your blog and, by the way, Greta said they have two sat trucks each on the East coast and Greta DOES NOT LIE. Have fun in “Sin City”.

At first I thought India but the slant in his eyes and the detail on the wall looks more Asian. I guess I don’t have a clue.

It reminds me of my trip to Jordan when we visited Petra… I have a picture taken with 2 of Prince Charles Jordanian Guards as he was visiting that day…. Actually, we were held up for security reasons…..I’ll never forget my donkey and horse ride there too…Am I right?

A few of you are close, but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for the story behind the pic. And Dottie…I love Petra and have a picture myself between two guards in traditional outfits.

Since I saw your pcs. from Burma, ( I think it was you in Burma, forgive me if I’m wrong) I think it is a wonderful photo of a Buddist Monk.

I am getting fantastic at blogging. Har Har. Watch our for Greta, she got her new camera you know. Hope you like blogging as much as the rest of us do. (^.^)

The man’s clothing and surrounding scenery very much reminds me of the people in a PSA for The American Himalayan Foundation.

Could you share how you name your pictures.
A good naming or data base is vital to retreveing old pictures.

Hey….I was at that toga party and I remember that guy. He said he was a Tibetan monk living in Sri-Lanka teaching yoga to the locals. In fact, it turned out, he drove an airport shuttle bus in Burbank CA.
