Picture of the Day
by Adam Housley
One of my hobby’s in recent years has been digital pictures. I have always loved photos, especially old ones, but since 2002 it’s all about digital. From now on, I am going to post a picture of the day which you can all comment on and pass along your feedback.
This one is one of my favorites, so where do you think it came from? Where did I snap this one and when? I will give the story behind this photo tomorrow.

the himalayas
Alisyn Camerota’s green room???
GR8 photo Adam!!!………………..my guess, Thailand?? Digital’s are the best!!!! This is fantastic for those of us who cannot view online video’s. Also as a past Flight Attendant it’s a super way to travel the world along with you. Anxious for MORE! Thank you!!!
I wonder if this was a picture taken in Myanmar recently? Keep up the blog!
What used to be Burma about 2 yrs ago?
I would guess maybe India a couple of years ago. Will be anxious to hear the story behind the pic.
Thanks for the pic and the upcoming ones - will enjoy.
I would guess India or Africa. Love your blog and, by the way, Greta said they have two sat trucks each on the East coast and Greta DOES NOT LIE. Have fun in “Sin City”.
(I’m never even close on any of these but I do enjoy participating. . . ) Tibet, late 20th Cent.???
My guess is hes from Cambodia ya? no? your turn hahahah
Another Vegas digital wish…………… The entry ceiling @ The Bellagio Hotel with Chihuly’s handblown glassworks ……. I understand is truly exquisite!!!
At first I thought India but the slant in his eyes and the detail on the wall looks more Asian. I guess I don’t have a clue.
Beautiful pic! Tells stories all in itself.
Have no idea where/when.
It reminds me of my trip to Jordan when we visited Petra… I have a picture taken with 2 of Prince Charles Jordanian Guards as he was visiting that day…. Actually, we were held up for security reasons…..I’ll never forget my donkey and horse ride there too…Am I right?
tibet
A few of you are close, but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow for the story behind the pic. And Dottie…I love Petra and have a picture myself between two guards in traditional outfits.
Since I saw your pcs. from Burma, ( I think it was you in Burma, forgive me if I’m wrong) I think it is a wonderful photo of a Buddist Monk.
I would have to say Thailand, really clear I guess I need to get a digital camera, but think I better figure out this —– computer first. Ha. Well almost time for Greta, Good nite Adam. Cindy L.
An all you can eat buffet?
Last 3 guesses……..New Delhi…Calcutta…Karachi……….

You be the westcoast man…………..!
I can’t handle the suspense.. this is what Greta does to us. Adam’s blog will great… he’s been all over the world (I think) and maybe we’ll get lucky and see places he’s been.
Adam.. if you ever come across some cool looking architecture from different cultures would you mind posting some photos?
when ‘tomorrow’ are you going to be airing this?
hmmmm. Viet Nam??? Looks like the man who runs the nail salon in my town.
I really have no idea but he is a Bright and colorful dresser!
BTW-Greta said to tell you she sent me:
Look forward to your Photos, and hearing about this one!
Adam I haven’t a clue but if I had to guess I’d say India. Can’t wait to see how far off I am, but I love doing this. I am 62 and new to computers but am loving learning how to work it. I am getting fantastic at blogging. Har Har. Watch our for Greta, she got her new camera you know. Hope you like blogging as much as the rest of us do. (^.^)
The man’s clothing and surrounding scenery very much reminds me of the people in a PSA for The American Himalayan Foundation.
Could you share how you name your pictures.
A good naming or data base is vital to retreveing old pictures.
Well i waited for the answer you can’t go till you tell us PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
eerr Adam… it’s 8am PST… what’s the scoop on the photo you posted here?
Hey….I was at that toga party and I remember that guy. He said he was a Tibetan monk living in Sri-Lanka teaching yoga to the locals. In fact, it turned out, he drove an airport shuttle bus in Burbank CA.
